Wireless Headphones

Wireless Headphones for your RV

If you’ve been plagued in the summertime with your air conditioner coming on and having to turn up the volume on the TV, and turn it back down when the unit goes off – then you will find that adding automotive wireless headphones to your system can solve this problem. These units can be found on the Internet at sites like Amazon and eBay.

You can mount the infra red sending unit under a cabinet or to a slide-out ceiling with line of sight to the chairs/couch where you will be sitting. Then connect your TV/stereo audo output to the sending unit’s audio input. Since these units are intended to auto use, you’ll need to connect 12v from you RV to power the sending unit, or add a 12v power supply. The headphones are battery powered and simple to operate. Remember, that the IR audio signal is line-of-sight so if you wander throughout your RV you’ll likely lose signal until returning.
