Campout Info

Joining us for a fun weekend is all about options. You can camp, stay in a cabin, or bed down at one of the local hotels. Campers will check in with the RV Park office on arrival to find where we’ll be camping. Most campgrounds collect their rally fee at check-in (typically $25-$40 per night) while others allow our Wagonmaster to collect at the Friday night dance.

  • Thursday (optional): Many members arrive on Thursday and usually find an opportunity to visit, relax, and head out to dinner together.
  • Friday: In the morning some members play golf while others find time to tour, shop or relax. Friday night, the “Come As You Are Dance” is followed by dancers and guests joining in a number of fun-filled games.
  • Saturday: At noon everyone sits down to enjoy a pot luck feast with no one leaving hungry. The afternoon is open for games, crafts, puzzles, dance workshops, touring, shopping, or resting. Saturday night, we dress in square dance attire and fill the hall (Note: in June, July, and August we dress casual to help beat the Texas heat). There are always snacks during the Saturday night dance and games are played following the dance.
  • Sunday: The morning begins with a devotional followed by our group breakfast at a local restaurant. We say our “goodbyes” around 11am then head home.
